Excerpt from the first blog entry "Out of the Single Box"

Instead of being sad about it (my single status) and rushing to match.com or Zoosk to fill the void (not judging people who are members of dating sites), I'm going to use the opportunity to hang out with some new and old interesting people and date myself from time to time.

The date myself concept isn't new. It sounds better than saying "I'm going to find myself". Dating myself sounds less depressing because I plan to make this fun.

As prime date nights are on the weekend, I plan to fill those days with activities I never got to partake in or barely got to participate in because I was involved. Including hobbies I've given up or never got to start, trips I've never taken because it's more expensive for two than one, and places I haven't seen or visited for awhile because whoever I was dating wasn't interested..and I'll be sharing it all here.

So look out for reviews on the cities I'll visit, the restaurants I'll be eating in, the movies I'll be watching, the clothes I'll be buying, the music I'll be listening to, and more.
